I genuinely do LOVE everything about Urban Decay !!

In this picture I used the sexy Electric palette and one of UD's moondust eyeshadows in ETHER.

When you use the Electric palette- you need very little product to achieve the results, it's SO pigmented!!! And for the Moondust- when you use some of that UD Setting Sprayyyyy it will just shineeee girl !!

That is what's up!! Although the contour is yet again- my Anastasia Beverly Hills powder contour palette!

Lips is MAC smoked purple and blankity to make a kind of ombré lip!
Here's another couple pics :)

Oh yes, and how can I forget these lashes!!!!!! MNXpro in Belfast, they are some pretty amazing make up artists- brought out these fab mink lashes/ they are meant to be wearable for about a month! And I think one of my favourite things about them is they're named after mean girls characters LOL ! I'm wearing #ReginaGeorge !
Close up of these beauties ! #ReginaGeorge #Mnxprolash

Just search MNXpro on Facebook! You're welcome!

Hello again =)

My last blog post was a little review MAC vs L'oreal, this is just pretty much an add on about the L'oreal Infallible Matte Foundations...

      <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

The hearts give it away! I have tried so many foundations... The only constant item that I will never stop using is MAC Studio Fix powder (colour dependent on whether or not I'm tan)... But more on that later...

Today is a good day because this foundation, is not only inexpensive, but it's actually unreal. I have seen many MUA's and make up fans post about it so I just had to jump on the band wagon, I'm a big fan of MNX pro based in Belfast (honestly girls, their work is amazing-true art) and one of their artists mentioned it so I had to give it a go...

~Don't get me wrong... Everyone's skin is totally different so it might not be the right choice for everyone, but I always think if it works on my skin it must be awesome, as I have such oily, sensitive skin ! Just last month I took a major break out because I tried to use Double Wear by Estee Lauder > Yuckkk !! <

So here it is... In all it's glory (and as I said in the last post, 3 for 2 @ Boots £15.98 ain't so bad).
It has such a nice creamy texture, the only fault was in boots the darkest colour was Sand, and its slightly lighter than my skin tone, but honestly it gave such a nice, airbrush finish! And I didn't feel like I needed a lot of it on, very little product needed and very good coverage!

I had previously been using Dior Forever foundation - for my oil control issues but at £40 odd, I'll save myself the £32 and get this bad boy! if it can match Dior/MAC- and I'm actually agreeing to this then it just must be good, because as I say ladies, I'm such a Brand h*e! :)

Don't mind the photos below - its now 8pm and no good natural light about to aid in the selfie taking (lol) So just a slight idea of how it looks on (with might I add a new highlighter I got from Benefit - Sunbeam... which is Ahh-mazing by the way, a Shout out to Vicki, an amazing mua managing Benefit, also giving me some great tips on mixing it with my foundation to give you a good old J-lo Glow, or standard Kimmy-K Glow) ...

Eugh - That pout though... And nose... eugh! Sozza guys *cringeface
This is why we love natural light... morning selfies win.  I need a ring light- stat!

(hair is up in two to help get some light around them cheeks!)

But, you can totally see its just a nice natural finish :) and the highlighter is loveeeellyyy <3

Not to mention I have two MASSIVE spots on my chin - and I swear I didn't photoshop anything! the coverage is just THAT good!

Goodness, L'oreal should give me a job! oh wait.... They already did <3 And I am such a massive fan of their products!

They own Lacome and Urban Decay (whom I work for) as well, which are totally my top faves for Make Up and Skin care. Obvs I'm a massive MAC fan too! But more about all that later !

To summarize... If you have oily skin, I couldn't recommend these products enough- MY definite new fave foundation to wear personally... But I feel it will be an awesome add to my Make Up kit for bridal work! Or just in general if someone has oily skin... For other stuff of course I will still have good old faithful MAC Studio Fix Fluid... But its definitely not the best foundation for oily skin.

Great Product - Give it a go, I don't think you'll regret it <3

MAC mattifying creme VS infalliable matte base by L'oreal

Sooo... You know how I said I strongly believe in 'you pay for what you get', blah blah blah???

Butttt- I would totally eat my words in my next post? Yes. That's what's happening. Right now. This minute.

And if two things are the same... And one retails @ £16 and the other retails @ £7.99 ... Surely it's a total given to go for the cheaper one. (Even better when it's buy 3 for 2 @ boots ! 2 foundations and the matte primer for £15.98- hiiii).

3 amazing items for the price of 1 at MAC (Sorry MAC- I love you) !!!

This L'oreal Infallible Mattifying base completely feels the same, looks the same and does the exact same job as the MAC gel. I literally wouldn't be able to tell the difference if you got me to close my eyes and put a dab of each one in my hand. The exact same texture, weight in your hand, everything! I couldn't even believe it, considering I'm not one for dupes. But this primer is definitely a winner.

If you have oily skin, like I do. You will love!!! : I don't know how I lived without it- this is a must have for my kit ... And my daily make up routine.

In the event of brand vs drugstore brand... My arm is twisted to drugstore!

P.s--- some MUA's have tested it and said this is for dry skin, and its falsely advertised, but it works an absolute treat for me, I have no problem with it and I have the most sensitive / oily skin ever! But it's worth a try for the price!

More on the L'oreal infallible Matte foundations next <3

H e l l o Internet!!

I'm Shawna Kristine, and I have a make up obsession.

I have been dying to start a blog / YouTube channel : where I can upload tutorials, give you real make up reviews/ tips! I'm still learning myself : which is one of the reasons I L O V E my career in make up - It's an art, and it is always changing!

Please bare with me while I arrange all the equipment I'll need for this, as of yet, I have none of the essential YouTube-ing tools (lol) ...

So, a little about me, eh? I'm 25, living in Northern Ireland; originally from Vancouver, Canada (Maple Syrup, eh?) I have had many jobs, never finding happiness until 2015, when I decided to take this obsession of mine to the next level and start actually acquiring some qualifications on make up artistry, instead of being self taught.... A massive achievement with this : Being employed by  one of the leading make up brands, whom I'm a massive fan!!! And Previous to that starting a my own small business on the side doing Brows, Nails, and of course make up.

I am a total sucker for a good b r a n d name when it comes to cosmetics.  I Think you pay for what you get ... A C T U A L L Y , I do have one blog post in mind / half written that will totally make me eat those words... BUT, this is the only case I'll allow this to happen (stay tuned for my next post on this).

Anyway, my point is ... I'm simply another girl, that wants to do better at what she does, learn more, share what she learns, progress within the make up industry, and promote herself and work through social media.

h a p p y - r e a d i n g <3

and I hope you enjoy my blog, it might take me a while to get the right look/template and figure out how to add links/pictures... again bare with me :)
