Good evening ya wee beauty's = )

I hope you all had an awesome Christmas!!!

Between Urban Decay, and freelancing and giving people brows I haven't had minute to put thumbs to phone, or fingers to keyboard !

So here we go with just a quick wee post of how amazing these lashes are!

I started stocking the gorgeous Fat Lash Mink lashes, I never
Thought of actually stocking them until I saw every salon in Belfast starting to get them in so I figured I'd jump on and be the first in the Ballymena Area to stock them!

It's all about me

Pretty little lash

Little black lash

fluff it !

These are the lash of all lashes, they are ethically sourced and cruelty free! Which is really important to me!

These little beauties can only be used with duo glue (so I've been told, so just incase go with it cause I would hate for you to damage them)

They retail @ £25 but can be worn up to 25 times!! To be fair if you really take care of them they will last you longer :)

Here's a few pics of these babies in action! In these photos I'm wearing, little black lash and it's all about me!

Just a few different pics for you !

I don't think I could ever wear synthetic lashes again! They are so light and easy to wear too!

You gotta try them!

This my girl Chey-nay-nay...
Otherwise know as Cheyenne;
First I'll do a little get to know...
I met this girl A few years a go when I worked in Exhibit(yes, Exhibit in Ballymena, Hay!) And our two shops collided out back, where we would gather for the odd chit chat.

Then when I decided I needed to do my make up course as I have wanted to since I was 16 and always found a way out of it, I asked her to be a model for me... And the rest is history!

Not only did I gain a gorgeous face to paint (haha)I ended up with a great friend. This girl is amazing <3

Now, Please look at this beauty all dolled up by yours truly...

<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3<3

Seriously THOUGH * Drools.

I need her to let me do her make up everyday.

So... What we did;

Brows - Draw them on with Anastasia Beverly Hills Dip brow,
Sculpt them with concealer, I use Naked Skin (Fair/Neutral) Urban Decay.

Eyes - I taped the side, making sure both were as even as possible, And went into the crease with a burnt orange demi-matte by Urban Decay called Riff. Then for the rest I used the Naked Basics Pallet by Urban Decay. Black Eyeliner is maybelline lasting drama Gel liner matte.

Foundation - Mac Studio Fix, Contour Anastasia Beverly Hills contour Kit (powder) and Setting Spray (All nighter Urban Decay).

Lips - Media By MAC

Hope you like the make up on this little babe!

Hey dolls!

So last week I went to two completely different master classes about contouring and Christmas make up!
First class was @ MNX pro in Belfast held by Rachel Ferran (contouring class)

Rachel contours a different way to how I was originally taught: to contour under your foundation.
It's absolutely stunning/flawless but takes a long time & we don't always have time to contour this way!
Steps-
Brows / Eyes
Contour / Foundation
Don't forget to Bake

This was the outcome on the model that Rachel used/ photos here were taken from the MNX pro Facebook page. So gorgeous and so talented!! How stunning is this look?

Genuinely my favorite salon in the country- they're make up is so amazing and I'll be putting the tips to practice that were shown at the class!

Second class was @ LMD salon in Portglenone held by Louise McDonnell and her sister Michaela. (Christmas make up)

LMD is an extremely well established salon in N.Ireland, totally taking over the make up scene with her super glamazon looks!
So naturally I wanted to do a class here to see how she does it.
And again, her style is totally different from any other I've seen... This makes me happy because everyone has such a different style/ way of getting the end result of contouring / glam.

So this is the finished look, Louise started with brows and eyes too, then quite heavenly applied foundation, then went in with a cream contour on top which are her own palettes, then powder contours on top to set, with some of her own palettes and MAC :)
I think we can all agree this is gorgeous!!
At the start I thought it was going to look really heavy, but it was totally stunning! I love love love this look! And using pigments on the eyes! I'm excited to play!

Now below are some selfies of my attempt at a slightly different contouring technique I took from Rachel's class! And playing with some MAC pigments on the eyes <3

Here I've done a mix between rachel's contour technique and a few things I learned from Jamie Genvieve.. which really was that it's totally okay to highlight like there's no tomorrow !!! haha!

I am obsessed with this look and sticking a lotta glitter in your eye! Soooo nice and Christmassy
:)
As for this look, I've used the same contour techniques and used the tape technique to get the sharp eye, which lmd uses as well as a lot of famous YouTubers to get that sharp sharp line. And I've used MAC Purple pigments on the eyes  <3

If I haven't said it already, I'm obsessed with pigments right now!

(laughface)

My dad say's I'm like your man from the goonies...

ANYWAY, it's CHRISTMAS TIME!!!!!!

That means... Well for me anyway... TAN TIME.

*Sighs.

I'm part Greek so I'm naturally a little swarthy, and to the normal Northern Irish woman, I'm at least a shade or two darker.... UNTIL THEY GET THEIR TAN ON!  Like literal, fake, smelly, sticky tan.

So this makes THIS half Greek/half french Canadian/ half Croatian/ Northern Irish... Really it should be Quarters at this stage... (But you get my drift)Look REALLY PALE.

I hate fake tan... For these reason.
1.Sticky
2.Smelly
3.Tango'd
4.Streaks
5.Fake
(because there's enough fake about me as it is between lashes and nails lol And I like having a realllll tannn... WHERE IS THE SUN NOTHERN IRELAND??? WHY DONT YOU GIVE US SEASONS!?? Eugh!)

 ...

So... If I must use a tan... THIS. This right here Is your winner!
I think This is legit because it's coming from a tan hater. I've used them all, because I have been searching for a non-sticky non-smelly non-streaky tan since I knew it was a thing.

VITA LIBERTATA pHenomenal

2-3 week tan mousse

(dark)
Photo taken from google images

This bad boy, maybe doesn't last for 3 weeks.... BUT it fades SO naturally there are NO STREAKS and no patchy-ness whatsoever! it's actually my God-send tan! it's a bit pricey @ £37.50 (eeeeek) But No cheap tans will do. If you think you don't smell.. YOU DO!!!!
Unless you use this one...

This one actually doesn't smell.

I know I'm not delusional about that because my insanely blunt husband (ew as if I can say 'husband') would tell me I'm stinkin' Rotten if it was
(or to all you Americans/Canadians out there, Stinky/Smelly, but I'm sure you got it...) After all he is my back tan applicator! lol!!!

I'll be applying some of this today and tomorrow so that I'm looking sweeeettt for my Christmas night out... Hopefully after the blog. I haven't used tan in a year. Awkward.

BUT if you want this bad boy... It is still half price is Debehams!! You're welcome :)
And if its not half price anymore... it's 15% off.. Every little helps as our friends at Tesco's say..

(I'll get some tan pics up to follow over the next few days)

This will be a relatively short but sweet blog post but lots of people say 'how do you get all that off without rubbing the eyes out of your head'...

Simple.

This.

Right.

Here.

(Taken from google images)

BEST EYE MAKE UP REMOVER YOU WILL EVER BUY!

It's pricey at £21.50 ... But you need very little product and it's so easy on the eyes!

I use it for my face too! And it's great/ then use a hot cloth to wipe my face after to get that oily feel away! But it's so good!

Actually , just the other day I saw LMD on snapchat saying it was her favorite too! I need to voice my opinion more often as I've been using this bad boy since I was 17 ... If LMD think its good, girls you know it must be worth a go!

(LMD - Louise McDonnell Hair and Make up on Facebook... From portglenone N.I, another fabulous  talent up north! MNX pro and her make me feel like a fan girl!)

Hi dolls (:

So it's that time when I pop a few words on my page!

Anyone that knows me from Facebook or Instagram will have seen I was at a glorious masterclass at MNX pro in Belfast- honestly the girls there have some serious brow and make up game. LEGIT!

And the beautifully talented Jamie Genevieve was showing us all how it's done!

(These photos I took from MNX pro's Facebook
and they were taken by Tim Cully)

(These beauties were taken from Jamei's Instagram-
look her up if you don't know her- you should!!!)

Top tip from JG- set your make up with highlighter.... GIRLLLLLL- you telling me my face looks like a disco ball???? Yes, and it's fabulous!!!! I will always do this on myself now !! Ha, and so many comments the past week too! So thanks a million for the tip doll, who knew!???

Now here's just some selfies of myself posing, or trying to look beside this gorgeous being- and another one of a good friend and amazing make up artist herself, Vicki Burke... Whom ya'll should also check out on Instagram!!!

Now here's just me- attempting to put what Jamie showed us into practise!! Hope you guys like it!! I got some good feedback and work so I was really pleased :) would 100% attend another class with Jamie, and planning a little trip to Glasgow to do so in her ONYX Studio ! Who needs an excuse? It's good for the business hubby.... :)

I used a few different products, and different colours on the eyes as I didn't have the mauvy purple Jamie had, but still think this look turned out better than I expected it to! Hah!

Thanks for reading :)

H e l l o again!

I'm hoping to blog at least once a week, but sometimes it can be hard with work and a crying husband in the corner saying I never give him attention... Bless.

So I'm a big MAC fan, ever since I was like 15. My very first MAC Items were the Glorious
***Studio Fix Powder***
*** Refined Golden Bronzer***

( The highlight soft and gentle I only bought this year... BUT LOVE - pack that right on the top of those cheek bones... DO IT! )

I just love it... It's so nice and smooth, not cakey at all, and its got great coverage.. When I was only 15-18 I would just use that as my foundation! Moisturize + Powder. Oh to be young and not know about all these contouring/baking/strobing techniques!! ha.
Basically, a lot of people use this service from MAC,
but a few still don't know they do it -
"Back to MAC"

You can bring your empties, lipsticks, foundation, gloss, eye shadows, mascara... 6 empties and you get a free lipstick!!!

The best part about that is recently I saw someone share a clip on Facebook... and I cannot find it to link here... but I did find similar ones on YouTube.... see below. She does it a little differently with circular palettes but same idea!!

 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IQjJtFMRBGo
All you do is:
* get a pill/tablet box...
*a candle or turn on your hair straighteners...
*A spoon...
* And all your MAC Lippys....

You literally melt them all down by either putting the lipsticks onto the spoon and hold that over your straighteners or candle... Put them into the containers like so... and now you have your lipsticks way more accessible... but you also have like 21 empties now... if you're me...

Actually... to make life easier I found another YouTuber... who broke the lipsticks down.. crushed them into the self-made palettes or pill boxes and microwaved them... I haven't tried this one... but sounds way easier and less messy than exhibit A.... Always find the easier option after I've done the thing !! *Sigh

So...  I went back to MAC... and got 3 new lipsticks...
and I have to say Sin and Blankity were a good shout. I LOVE THEM!

One thing I will say is MAC matte lipsticks are very drying! but they do have a good variety of them... As much as I love them, I feel like you have to wipe it off and like exfoliate your lips afer an hour and reapply... Maybe get a good lip primer first... but it still kinda makes your lips feel a bit.. bitty if you know what I mean...

Saying that, I'll totally still wear them... Sometimes I add a little bit of Vaseline or one of their luster like lipsticks in the middle to try and prolong that feeling of bitty-ness from happening!

But anyway... This is definitely worth doing! I couldn't find a very good pill box so mine looks a but crap... but its a great idea, money saver and space saver! who's going to melt their MACs and get some free ones now??

*me

Wait ...

I already did.

Happy Melting!
(be careful and if you are young - get your mom to do it... don't want anyone burning themselves!!)

I genuinely do LOVE everything about Urban Decay !!

In this picture I used the sexy Electric palette and one of UD's moondust eyeshadows in ETHER.

When you use the Electric palette- you need very little product to achieve the results, it's SO pigmented!!! And for the Moondust- when you use some of that UD Setting Sprayyyyy it will just shineeee girl !!

That is what's up!! Although the contour is yet again- my Anastasia Beverly Hills powder contour palette!

Lips is MAC smoked purple and blankity to make a kind of ombré lip!
Here's another couple pics :)

Oh yes, and how can I forget these lashes!!!!!! MNXpro in Belfast, they are some pretty amazing make up artists- brought out these fab mink lashes/ they are meant to be wearable for about a month! And I think one of my favourite things about them is they're named after mean girls characters LOL ! I'm wearing #ReginaGeorge !
Close up of these beauties ! #ReginaGeorge #Mnxprolash

Just search MNXpro on Facebook! You're welcome!

Oily Skin? Fear not! SK's got you sorted.

Hello again =)

My last blog post was a little review MAC vs L'oreal, this is just pretty much an add on about the L'oreal Infallible Matte Foundations...

      <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3 <3

The hearts give it away! I have tried so many foundations... The only constant item that I will never stop using is MAC Studio Fix powder (colour dependent on whether or not I'm tan)... But more on that later...

Today is a good day because this foundation, is not only inexpensive, but it's actually unreal. I have seen many MUA's and make up fans post about it so I just had to jump on the band wagon, I'm a big fan of MNX pro based in Belfast (honestly girls, their work is amazing-true art) and one of their artists mentioned it so I had to give it a go...

~Don't get me wrong... Everyone's skin is totally different so it might not be the right choice for everyone, but I always think if it works on my skin it must be awesome, as I have such oily, sensitive skin ! Just last month I took a major break out because I tried to use Double Wear by Estee Lauder > Yuckkk !! <

So here it is... In all it's glory (and as I said in the last post, 3 for 2 @ Boots £15.98 ain't so bad).
It has such a nice creamy texture, the only fault was in boots the darkest colour was Sand, and its slightly lighter than my skin tone, but honestly it gave such a nice, airbrush finish! And I didn't feel like I needed a lot of it on, very little product needed and very good coverage!

I had previously been using Dior Forever foundation - for my oil control issues but at £40 odd, I'll save myself the £32 and get this bad boy! if it can match Dior/MAC- and I'm actually agreeing to this then it just must be good, because as I say ladies, I'm such a Brand h*e! :)

Don't mind the photos below - its now 8pm and no good natural light about to aid in the selfie taking (lol) So just a slight idea of how it looks on (with might I add a new highlighter I got from Benefit - Sunbeam... which is Ahh-mazing by the way, a Shout out to Vicki, an amazing mua managing Benefit, also giving me some great tips on mixing it with my foundation to give you a good old J-lo Glow, or standard Kimmy-K Glow) ...

Eugh - That pout though... And nose... eugh! Sozza guys *cringeface
This is why we love natural light... morning selfies win.  I need a ring light- stat!

(hair is up in two to help get some light around them cheeks!)

But, you can totally see its just a nice natural finish :) and the highlighter is loveeeellyyy <3

Not to mention I have two MASSIVE spots on my chin - and I swear I didn't photoshop anything! the coverage is just THAT good!

Goodness, L'oreal should give me a job! oh wait.... They already did <3 And I am such a massive fan of their products!

They own Lacome and Urban Decay (whom I work for) as well, which are totally my top faves for Make Up and Skin care. Obvs I'm a massive MAC fan too! But more about all that later !

To summarize... If you have oily skin, I couldn't recommend these products enough- MY definite new fave foundation to wear personally... But I feel it will be an awesome add to my Make Up kit for bridal work! Or just in general if someone has oily skin... For other stuff of course I will still have good old faithful MAC Studio Fix Fluid... But its definitely not the best foundation for oily skin.

Great Product - Give it a go, I don't think you'll regret it <3

MAC mattifying creme VS infalliable matte base by L'oreal

Sooo... You know how I said I strongly believe in 'you pay for what you get', blah blah blah???

Butttt- I would totally eat my words in my next post? Yes. That's what's happening. Right now. This minute.

And if two things are the same... And one retails @ £16 and the other retails @ £7.99 ... Surely it's a total given to go for the cheaper one. (Even better when it's buy 3 for 2 @ boots ! 2 foundations and the matte primer for £15.98- hiiii).

3 amazing items for the price of 1 at MAC (Sorry MAC- I love you) !!!

This L'oreal Infallible Mattifying base completely feels the same, looks the same and does the exact same job as the MAC gel. I literally wouldn't be able to tell the difference if you got me to close my eyes and put a dab of each one in my hand. The exact same texture, weight in your hand, everything! I couldn't even believe it, considering I'm not one for dupes. But this primer is definitely a winner.

If you have oily skin, like I do. You will love!!! : I don't know how I lived without it- this is a must have for my kit ... And my daily make up routine.

In the event of brand vs drugstore brand... My arm is twisted to drugstore!

P.s--- some MUA's have tested it and said this is for dry skin, and its falsely advertised, but it works an absolute treat for me, I have no problem with it and I have the most sensitive / oily skin ever! But it's worth a try for the price!

More on the L'oreal infallible Matte foundations next <3
